It is the city of Luis XIV, of the French revolution, the Blue Coast, and much more stories: Youngest child of Tudela, the Jewish travellers of century XII, Christians and saracenos, Arabs of Maghrib, retailers of Lombardía has given to the city a special form. Nowadays it is the bigger university city of the south of the country. It has around 300,000 inhabitants and it is the scientific center of the south.


Compared with Nimes, Montpellier it is a young city, because it is about 1,000 years old.
